Since 2016, Canada has faced a worsening overdose crisis, with First Nations communities being particularly affected due to the lasting impact of colonization. This emphasizes the urgent need for accurate data, safe services, and improved networks to enable an effective response.

The main goal of the Alberta First Nations Overdose Crisis Knowledge-to-Action Hub is to use effective communication strategies and share best practices. Its ultimate aim is to empower various sectors, enabling them to enhance their capacity and incorporate evidence-informed practices. This approach will better equip them to address the consequences of the overdose crisis and mitigate its effects.
